*Sex and Shadows,* an exploration of **post-feminist poetics**, first appeared in the Stoning the Devil blog in 2009, as part of the post-avant series. It featured an analysis of poems by **Mary Walker Graham**. As of 2017, the piece expanded to include discussion, also, of a poem by **Stacy Blair**. The piece has been consistently revised up to and including 2025, and now includes material on **Becky Hilliker**. In the UK as of 2026, a version of *Sex and Shadows* appeared on **Jeffrey Side's** blog.
