Tongues, to speak or not to speak

de Donald W. Burdick

Tongues: to speak or not to speak? That is the question and Donald W. Burdick gives the answer. An answer that is biblically sound, scholarly and current. It has to be current, because the question is. Glossolalia (speaking in tongues) is receiving national attention. Both Time and Newsweek have recently featured articles on how "tongues" is now an accepted practice even in many of the old-line denominational churches. Many questions are being asked. How can this new flourish be explained? Is it a renewal of the New Testament phenomenon? Is it something to be sought after? These and similarly provocative questions are carefully discussed by Dr. Burdick. He analyzes, evaluates, and then lists all possible explanations of the current reenlistment to the movement. More than that, he provides background material essential to an effective evaluation. - Back cover.
