This volume contains, according to the editor, “…the story of the doings of the convention of 1846 as contemporaneously reported for certain newspapers of the state [followed by] a presentation of the discussion over ratification which ended in the decisive rejection of the constitution by the voters at the election of April 6, 1847.”
