Random is about small-town life in Pownal and small city Portland, Maine. In issue seven, she reviews post offices, compares real activists and punk posers, includes a comic about what it means to be a female hero, and interviews local people about their coffee choices in light of the arrival of Starbucks. Lenn also publishes contributed pieces, including one by Eleanor Whitney.
