Painting space
The second English-language monograph on French artist Fabienne Verdier (born 1962), Painting Space approaches her epic, calligraphic and heavily gestural abstract paintings as a type of sculpture, comparing her pictorial universe to the serene effects and industrial surfaces of Joseph Beuys and Richard Serra.
