First story based on Rudyard Kipling's "How the elephant got its trunk". In that story, because of his curiosity about what the crocodile has for dinner, a little elephant and all elephants thereafter have long trunks. In the second story, source unknown, "How the crocodile's tooth ached", a porcupine helps cure an old crocodile of his toothache, however, the porcupine will come to regret his friendliness.
