La bella del Alhambra

Drama set in Cuba of the 1920s and 30s, centering on a young woman's rise to fame as an entertainer at the Teatro Alhambra, whose audiences are composed solely of men. In addition to the many song and dance numbers performed in the theater, the film includes a rumba danced in the street by Cubans of African descent, and glimpses of ballroom dancing among Cuban high society.
