An escalating rivalry with a wealthy, powerful noble at the University forces him to leave and seek his fortune abroad in the country of Vintas. The book details his entanglement in courtly politics, his time training with an elite group of mercenaries called the Adem, a journey into the Fae realm where he meets the legendary Felurian, and his ongoing quest for the truth about the Chandrian and the ancient Amyr. The Doors of Stone (Book 3, unreleased): This is the anticipated final book in the main trilogy, which will conclude Kvothe's life story.
