***The Interchange Placement Test*** is designed to enable teachers and program administrators to identify the optimal level of the Interchange series - INTRO, 1, 2, or 3 - for students entering programs where the series is used. The test booklet contains the written portion of the test - the listening, reading, and grammar sections - on photocopiable pages. The accompanying cassette can be used to conduct the listening section. The booklet also provides comprehensive, step-by-step instructions for administering and scoring the written test, and for conducting a short oral placement conversation that teachers may use to fine-tune their placement decisions.
