Ecce homo
de Federico Arnaud, Gustavo Tabares
ECCE HOMO is a catalog book that documents the first anthological exhibition of visual artist Federico Arnaud (b. 1970, Salto Uruguay). It is a journey through the different dimensions of his work: Neo-baroque, Space and matter and Personal Archaeology; the three topics that cross the twenty years of his artistic career. Dedicated to matter and space, the artist's work has a strong material and symbolic charge. The publication traces the journey of his powerful discourse through his sculpture-objects, installations and video performances. "Arnaud's work is strongly linked to the set of experiences he has had throughout his life. The death of his father in circumstances that have not yet been clarified, when Federico was only four years old, would mark the beginning of a life where movement and change, together with a persistent look towards the past, have been the keys to the way in which it has been registered as a being in the world. The publication traces his work through his sculptures-objects, installations and video performances.
