Doodlebug summer
The year is 1944 and World War II is not over yet. There have been no air raids for a while, so Katie's family don't sleep in the shelter anymore. Then one night, Katie wakes to hear a strange, loud noise, followed by a big explosion. The doodlebugs have arrived.
