"The Deaf Way" continues. Highlights of the Opening Gala performance held on July 9, 1989 at Washington's Lisner Auditorium. Emcees Howie Seago and Tim Scanlon welcome deaf performers and deaf performing groups from the U.S. (National Theatre of the Deaf), Soviet Union (Moscow Theatre of Mime & Geste), France (International Visual Theatre of France), Japan (Japanese Theatre of the Deaf), Singapore (Hi Theatre), and Sweden. A celebration of the deaf performing artist.
