Apollon, Artemis, Leto

This book deals with the Greek votive reliefs of the Apollonian triad (Apollo, Artemis, and Leto). These reliefs have a typology that is influenced by religious, historical, and regional factors, and that is sometimes connected with the iconography of vase painting or free-standing sculpture. Textual evidence for the three gods is analyzed along with the reliefs, revealing that the votive reliefs can be seen as images depicting the complex and wide-ranging functions of the Apollonian triad.
