When Captain Scarface finds the body of his old friend Tom Kingsley drifting in a boat he brings the corpse back to Tom's brother, Robert Kingsley at his plantation in Kalawa. But Robert Kingley is old and crippled, so the duty of avenging Tom's death falls to Robert's son, 'Black' Bob Kingsley. Seeking to learn what has happened to Tom's vanished servant, Mindar Singh, and why the body of an old enemy is in Tom's house 'Black' Bob is set upon by a gang of sinister Chinese who want to gain posession of the two idols of the title. In the pursuit of the solution to what makes these two small pieces of ivory worth killing for, 'Bob' encounters the beautiful Verna Lyle who believes he is a villain and whom he must rescue in spite of herself. This is an old fashioned thriller with 'Yellow Peril' overtones.
