On June 9, 1979 a Rock Against Racism concert was held in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois with DOA and the Lenny Kaye Band, Immune System, Skafish, and local funk, reggae, Latin and new wave bands. Rock Against Racism was a campaign that was originally set up in the United Kingdom in 1976 and a major force in British popular music.
