Mr Henry Mulligan is an old man who is dying. He disappears from the geriatric ward of a large hospital in the English midlands. His wife, suffering from Alzheimer's disease, disappears with him. His search proves more of a challenge than he had expected, and he discovers that he didn't know as much about Henry Mulligan as he thought he did.
