This book contains the litigation files that plaintiff's and defendant's lawyers typically have when a case begins. In short, this book contains the files that [people] will start with to actually litigate a case from beginning to end. The cases are realistic (they are based on actual cases) and represent the kinds of cases repeatedly encountered in general civil litigation. They start the way cases usually start for litigators. In short, everything possible has been done to reflect the real world of civil litigators. The cases give [the students] the opportunity to manage the litigation process, make the necessary strategic decisions, and take the basic steps encountered in that process. These steps incude factual investigation, legal research, planning the litigation strategy, drafting pleadings, discovery and motions, and engaging in settlement negotiations ...
