The book, in a first part, gives and defends new attributions to Enguerrand Quarton. First : the "Pierre de Luxembourg en extase" of the "Petit Palais d'Avignon". Second : the "Saint Siffrein" in the same museum. Third : the "Couronnement de la Vierge" of the old cathedral of Carpentras (Vaucluse). Fourth : a glass window ("Siffrein entre Saint Michel et Sainte Catherine d'Alexandrie" ) in the same cathedral.. The book, in a second part, propose an esthetical and theological reading of the images from all the paintings of Quarton. Taking care of seeing the all form as well as the details.
