Comfort Katey-Jones lives with her mother Margaret, who is separated from Comforts' father, a Ghanaian. When Margaret is killed in a road accident, Comfort is sent to live with her mothers parents in the country. Then Comfort receives a letter from her father in Ghana asking her to go to him. This book is about Comfort's new life in Africa and how she copes with life in a different culture.
