This story begins with fifteen year old William's arrival in a new town. He needs to settle into school, learn his way around, and make some friends. At the new school he meets Jaimee, a fourteen year old girl who has a rather quick temper and whose hobby is karate... which, when both combined, can get her into trouble! What Jaimee doesn't realise is that William, despite his young age and calm self controlled manner, has a black belt in the same karate style that she studies. As she gets to know William better, she realises that she can actually learn a lot from his approach to both life and karate.
