After sending copies of The Chair to our grandchildren, Grandson, Jared (6 yrs old) requested: "Please make more books of the Chair." Beyond the Chair came about in response to that request. The Chair was about Bradley Leroy Tanner and his experiences in a chair his grandfather (the original Bradley Leroy Tanner) made. In Beyond the Chair, Bradley Leroy Tanner is the almost seven-year-old grandson of the Bradley Leroy Tanner in the previous book. I know … it's hard to keep it all straight with all these grandfathers and grandsons: *Bradley Leroy Tanner I (made the chair) then his grandson *Bradley Leroy Tanner II (had adventures from the past in the chair); and now his grandson *Bradley Leroy Tanner III (has adventures from the future in the chair).
