"The work of Camilo Restrepo seeks to rename the war against drug trafficking, to give it a nickname and paint a new face on the period of Colombian history that is still not over. He means to bring to mind the characters and behaviors of Medellin in the 1980s ( ) Through his paintings, Camilo gives titles to and recomposes what took place in the newspapers, in the streets and on the television in that period which stretches into the present. It is a satirical critique of the failed war on drugs."-Front Flap.
