James W. Jones is an expert on the U.S. and global legal markets. He is the director of Programs on Trends in Law Practice at the Center on Ethics and the Legal Profession at Georgetown University Law Center. Jones is also a Principal at Legal Management Resources LLC, a consulting firm providing management and leadership resources for law firms around the world. Previously, Jones served as the Chairman of the Hildebrandt Institute, Managing Director of Hildebrandt International, Vice President and General Counsel of APCO Worldwide, and Managing Partner of Arnold & Porter, LLP. Jones works with law firms and their leaders on issues of strategy, governance, compensation, succession planning, and risk management. He is the author of numerous books and articles and frequent speaker on legal management topics, including ancillary business, globalization, ethics, strategy, and partnership issues.
