Colin Parsons was an eminent crossword compiler who initially established a company with his brother, Brendan, to supply crosswords and other word games to local newspapers throughout Britain. He later became a crossword setter for national newspapers The Scotsman and The Sunday Telegraph. After six months of ill health he died in the autumn of 1992 at the age of 55.
